Westchester Disabled On the Move: 6th Annual Spirit of Independence Award

Westchester Disabled On the Move Inc. (WDOMI), a Yonkers based Independent Living Center serving people with disabilities, announced today the 6th Annual Spirit of Independence Awards dinner to be held on Thursday, October 11, 2007 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, 66 Hale Ave. White Plains, New York from 6:00 - 9:00 pm.
WDOMI is celebrating over 20 years of "People Empowering People." This agency provides programs and services to people with disabilities of all ages who reside in Westchester County.
The agency’s mission is to provide information, which allows people with disabilities to make decisions about their own lives and empowers them to live independently with dignity in their own homes. This is the credo of Independent Living.
The Spirit of Independence Awards Ceremony celebrates individuals/entities who/which have contributed significantly to efforts that promote and enhance independence for people with disabilities.
