Accessible Universal Remote Control for PAC Mate BX and QX is Released
(St. Petersburg, Florida, May 17, 2005) - Freedom Scientific has released FSCommander, a free consumer infrared remote control application for the PAC Mate BX and QX series. This convenient and versatile application is now available for download from the Freedom Scientific Web site. The new application is for the English language build of the PAC Mate.
FSCommander adds a special driver for the infrared module already onboard the PAC Mate. The driver gives the PAC Mate the ability to send control signals to a TV, stereo, DVD player, and more from a distance of up to 30 feet away. PAC Mate users can now control all their remote controlled equipment from a single device using easy to remember keystrokes. The PAC Mate learns the command codes from the equipment's existing remote control, and the user assigns the keystrokes. Users can then switch quickly between devices and control them right from the PAC Mate's keyboard, giving them the ultimate accessible universal remote control.
PAC Mate BX and QX users can go to the FSCommander Web page to download this free utility.
