Technology Conference for Rehabilitation Teachers

Title: "Technology That Works in the Real World"

Date: July 5 through July 7, 2005

Registration fee: $150

Location: the the Riviera Hotel
Las Vegas, Nevada
(the site of the 2005 ACB Convention.)

Description: This technology conference has been developed by Mississippi State University's Rehabilitation Research and Training Center on Blindness and Low Vision in cooperation with ACB and the National Association of Blind Teachers. Its focus is on finding ways of managing and using information about the practical applications or limitations of high and low tech tools as they relate to the blind and visually impaired. It is designed for rehabilitation teachers and busy professionals who are interested in what clients may or may not be able to use rather than in personal technology choices.

Attendees will be able to take advantage of the technology on display in the convention exhibit hall, and need not be members of ACB to attend the conference.
